Manchester County Record Office

It is important for me to research and track down as much information as possible involving the making of the bridge the history of the bridge and how it has influenced and changed Manchester and the people that live here. My search sent me to the record office in Ancoats where I found a map of diagrams of the structure from 1942 and a selection of photographs taken by local artists/photographers in the mid 80’s. It is no surprise to me that the viaduct has been a focal point for a number of art and  media projects, I love talking to people and discovering their individual perception of the viaduct and the surrounding historical area of ImageImageImageImageImage Image
