Making sound

With the film coming close to completion I have been woking on the sound scape. I wanted to bring a lot of the surrounding sound back into the film to help create an atmosphere and bring the different elements of the projects and processes together as one. It was essential to have sounds of water and the echoing of trains passing, as well as the faint discussion of the Castlefield Bridge and surrounding structures. I wanted to build up layers of sounds so I wasn’t giving the film a documentary feel, but more of an abstract insight into the process of archiving.
