I am a historical Photographer, a mother of one and creator of @tin_type_trailer Currently working on a photographic project called #HiddenMothers http://www.tintypetrailer.co.uk

I am a freelance artist using a wide range of techniques from Wet Plate Collodion to 35mm photography, digital film making and large scale installations . My work is mostly inspired by people and places with an often documentary feel. I have worked closely with local botanists, train enthusiasts and historians and at the other extreme travelled to Mexico to collaborate on a project about deportees.

My work has been exhibited at Bury Art Museum, Bankley Gallery, CFCCA in Manchester, Barbecue in Chorlton and The Shed, Whistle arts Stop, Haltwhistle.

You can see three selected Hidden Mothers portraits at the Mother Art Prize exhibition at Mimosa House in May 2019, chosen by Beth Colocci, trustee of the UK Friends of the National Museum for Women in the Arts, Sylvie Gormezano– Director at Picture this productions and Chair of the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD), Marcelle Joseph, Director and Curator at Marcelle Joseph Project, Sigrid Kirk, Co-founder of ARTimbarc and AWITA ( Association of Women in the Arts), Elizabeth Neilson, Director at the Zabludowicz Collection and Laura Smith, Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery.

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2014, with a First Class Honers in Contemporary photography.
